Your wallet balance never expires and is never charged beyond what you use. If a locked-in plan period ends, we simply switch you to pay-as-you-go pricing — your balance keeps working at the flexible rate until you renew or pick a new plan. No overage fees, ever.

Frequently asked questions

I topped up $50 and my plan expires with $10 unused — what happens to that $10?+

It's still yours. When a locked-in plan (Growth, Pro, Business) expires, we don't touch your balance — within the hour, your account automatically switches to Pay As You Go for future requests, so that $10 keeps working, just billed at the slightly higher pay-as-you-go rate instead of your old discounted rate. Nothing is forfeited. Prefer to keep the discounted rate? Pick a plan again any time.

What's the difference between Pay As You Go and the other plans?+

Every plan bills per request from the same prepaid wallet — there's no subscription fee anywhere. The difference is the rate: Growth, Pro, and Business lock in a cheaper per-request rate in exchange for committing to a validity period (1, 3, or 6 months). Pay As You Go has no validity period and no commitment, at a slightly higher rate — like a month-to-month lease versus signing a term for a discount.

Do I have to pick a plan before I can use the API?+

No. Every new account starts on Pay As You Go automatically, plus 20 free requests with no card required, so you can test the API immediately. Upgrade to a locked-rate plan whenever your volume justifies it.

What happens if I run out of balance mid-use?+

Requests are billed one at a time as they happen — there's no invoicing after the fact. The moment your balance can't cover the next request's rate, that request is rejected with a clear "insufficient balance" error instead of going through and being billed later. You're never charged for a rejected request; top up any time to keep going.

If I switch plans, do I lose my current balance?+

No. Switching plans only changes your locked per-request rate (and, for locked plans, your validity period) — your dollar balance carries over untouched no matter which plan you're on or how many times you switch.

Is there a limit on how fast I can send requests?+

Yes — each plan has its own requests-per-second cap, shown on the pricing cards above, so higher tiers get higher throughput. Going over it returns a rate-limit error; you're not charged for a rejected request, so just slow down and retry.

How does billing actually work — is this a subscription?+

No subscription, ever. You prepay into a wallet in whatever amount you like, and each API call deducts your locked per-request rate from that balance in real time. You only ever pay for requests you actually make.
